This week Social Market Foundation called for the NHS to be given power and funding to maintain parks to boost physical and mental health.
We think it’s an interesting point for our #BeanoBrain round-up in Mental Health Awareness Week...
Within lockdown, kids and families have noticeably increased their use of outdoor space – going for walks has increased by 11% and visiting parks or fields have increased by 5% during the last month.
And during the same period our sentiment tracker has shown kids’ happiness to increase by 4%.
Gen Alpha, who have a fascination with real world experiences, and their Millennial parents who encourage it are enjoying the simple benefit of getting outside and exploring.
So should it just fall to the NHS? We believe organisations and businesses can cement their place in family life by helping provide more opportunities for positive, outdoor activities.
