ARSENAL LAUNCHED THE JUNIOR GUNNERS APP IN 2016, BECOMING THE FIRST PREMIER LEAGUE CLUB TO LAUNCH AN APP TARGETED AT THE YOUTH AUDIENCE
Arsenal wanted to better understand the Junior Gunners app users, discover UX/UI issues and build a road map to engage it’s audience over the 19/20 & 20/21 season.
Using testing methodologies created during the digital transformation of Beano.com, Beano ran a remote UX testing session - conducting interviews with both parents and children. By conducting research via video, Beano was able to quickly reach a representative sample of Junior Gunners users and their parents.
The interviews were analysed and a comprehensive report detailing findings and recommendations for future development was created. This was briefed into Arsenal’s partner agency who integrated the findings into their sprints, with the first changes shipped to hit the start of the 19/20 season.
